Overview map. Investigative area between Løvskal and Tindbæk in Viborg Municipality.

Viborg Municipality is conducting a preliminary investigation from 2022-2024 to explore the possibilities of the lowland project in Nørreådalen, between Løvskal and Tindbæk. The project area is located within the Natura2000 area 30: “Lovns Bredning, Hjabæk Fjord, Simested og Nørre Ådale samt Skravad Bæk” in Natureman subregion N30-12.

The study area covers approx. 122 ha, involving around 40 landowners. A Lowland projects typically includes measures such as:

  • Establishing natural hydrology by closing drainage ditches
  • Raising the water level in the watercourses within the project area
  • Irrigations of meadows with drainage water

The project covers an investigation area of approx. 122 ha, involving over 40 landowners.
