Development of a New Machine for Biomass Harvesting
New improved machine for harvesting biomass
The Innovation Fund has allocated DKK 160,000 to improve the harvesting machine used by Curru-Tek for harvesting biomass on areas within the LIFE IP Natureman project area.
The Innobooster project includes the construction of a new platform which is significantly lighter and with 50% greater capacity. The tipping function and new hydraulics must be further developed. The goal is for the harvester to be able to harvest without having a tractor with a chaser bin next to it. The developed solutions are transferred to the company's chaser bins and the goal is that the capacity will be so large that only one chaser bin can be used per harvester. With the improved machinery, a significant optimization of the work is expected on developing biomass harvesting as an profitable business branch.
The project has a total economy of DKK 0.5 million.
The Danish Innovation Fund is a fund under the Ministry of Education and Research, whose purpose is to provide grants for the development of knowledge and technology, including advanced technology, which leads to the strengthening of research and innovative solutions for the benefit of growth and employment in Denmark.
An innobooster project must in an innovative way help develop and market a new product or service, or significantly improve a process in a company so that the company's competitiveness is significantly improved. Innobooster projects can be applied for by a company within the EU's definition of small and medium size companies.
