SEGES Innovation has prepared a report on how human impact on the landscape has made it more uniform, dominated by agriculture, open nature, and forests, resulting in a decline in biodiversity. The report describes how year-round grazing can be part of the solution to this problem. By using large herbivores from agriculture, it is possible to ensure positive natural development, which is crucial for removing excess biomass that has accumulated over the summer. The report further describes how the economic returns from nature management are crucial for creating long-term perspectives for improving the condition of the areas and how to address the economic challenges of having animals in nature management.
