Researchers point to land reform as a response to agriculture's climate challenges

It has a major climate effect if agriculture takes low-land areas in the river valleys out of operation.

But it goes slowly when political wishes, farmers and other local interests have to come together. Researchers from the University of Copenhagen have investigated the process and recommend a land reform as a possible solution. The report is based on the research project “ Lokale Landvindinger”, which is carried out in collaboration with the Nature Agency Himmerland, Viborg, Randers and Mariagerfjord Municipalities as a complementary project to LIFE IP Natureman. The research project is financed by the Velux Foundation.
