New report describes the possibilities for improving the hydrology in part of Nørreådalen

"How do you best recreate natural hydrology in an area with many and deep ditches, which both ensures a favorable development of the nature content and at the same time ensures that grazing is possible?

Viborg Municipality has asked COWI to prepare a preliminary study of the possibilities in an approx. 107 ha large area in Nørreådalen (N30). The result is a report which contains two proposals, one of which is an integrated nature and climate project that also reduces the degradation of the peat layer. The other is a more limited grazing project that focuses on the springs near the edge of the river valley. Both proposals must be discussed with the relevant landowners. The intention is to implement as large a part of the proposals as possible."
