Mid-term conference on the status of the first 4 years of LIFE IP Natureman

145 participants met on 31 May 2022 in Rebild for the mid-term conference for the LIFE IP Natureman project.

LIFE IP Natureman conference

The participants were politicians, representatives from the green councils in the eight municipalities, farmers, agricultural advisers and employees from the 11 partners in the project. The objective of the mid-term conference was to convey some of the exciting results we have achieved in the first 4 years of the project, and unveil what we expect to work on in the coming years.

There was a presentation by Professor Jørgen Primdahl from the University of Copenhagen on how regional landscape strategies and collaborative processes can be used in planning the development of the river valleys. Associate Professor Stine Krøijer from the University of Copenhagen spoke about the Velux-funded project “Lokale Landvindinger” and about how stories can be used in planning. There were also contributions from Viborg municipality, a farmer and a farmers' association about what it was like to participate in such a development project in a river valley. Finally, there were presentations about some of the other exciting topics covered by Natureman e.g. development of a new effect-based natural subsidy scheme, a new education as Naturemanager,  the GUDP project HøstTek as well as branding and marketing of nature-meat. Of course, a good lunch was served with i.a. locally produced nature-meat.

There was a good atmosphere at the meeting and everyone got new inspiration to take home.
