HØSTTEK, VELAS and LIFE IP Natureman held a demonstration of machines for harvesting meadow grass on wet areas at Kølsen Enge on September 8th 2023. There were approx. 30 participants for the demonstration.

Kølsen Enge is a wetland project at the outlet of the Skals Å, which was established by the Danish Nature Agency in 2016. The test area was partly under water, but the harvest was carried out without problems and without track driving.

The purpose was to show that today there is a harvesting machine (Kannegaard's red machine) which can solve the task of harvesting biomass on damp and wet meadows. Kannegaard won this year's tender and harvests for the Danish Nature Agency in the LIFE IP Natureman project on land in Nørreådalen.

HØSTTEK showed its green prototype, which is under development and is expected to be fully developed by the end of 2024, when the plan is to put it into production in the following years.
