In Natureman, work is being done to develop nature care of light-open nature into a viable branch of farming. The development of the harvesting of biomass from water-saturated, unfertilized low-lying soils into a business branch will be an important step to promote biodiversity in the river valleys by creating larger, continuous natural areas with meadow vegetation in connection with the particularly vulnerable natural types such as alkaline fens and springs. In December 2023, the work in Natureman to develop the harvesting of biomass from meadows into a viable branch for farmers has been presented at two large conferences.
Biogas Denmark Conference 2023 was held on December 6th in Vingsted Conference Center with approx. 350 participants. Here, forest warden Ole Hyttel from the Danish Nature Agency told about the work to develop the technology in Natureman and the GUDP project Høsttek. See the presentation about "New possibilities for obtaining biomass".
On December 8th 2023, Seges Innovation held the webinar: "Climate actions on carbon-rich agricultural land" with approx. 80 participants. Here, forest warden Ole Hyttel from the Danish Nature Agency gave a presentation about "Harvesting biomass on carbon-rich agricultural land - practical experiences from Life IP Natureman and Høsttek".
You also have the opportunity to see or revisit the webinar on Seges Innovations own website.
