Viborg Municipality has in collaboration with landowners and Copenhagen University in LIFE Natureman composed a catalog of potential projects in Velds Møllebæk, that will be attempted implemented in the coming few years. The projects will promote the condition of nature and environment. The project area is 971 ha and is focused on multifunctional land consolidation (MUFJO), changing hydrologic conditions and secure future nature conservation. The area is a part of Natura-2000 area 30: Lovns Bredning, Hjarbæk Fjord, Simested og Nørre Ådale samt Skravad Bæk.
