In LIFE IP Natureman Viborg Municipality has composed a vision report for the development of Jordbro Ådal. The project area is ca. 755 ha and consist of, among other, 52 ha heat, 27 ha alkaline fens, 22 ha nardus grassland, 13 ha quaking bog and 10 petrifying springs. The area is a part of Natura 2000-area nr. 39: Mønsted og Daugbjerg Kalkgruber og Mønsted Ådal.
