A feasibility study in 2014 has shown that large parts of alkaline fens and petrifying springs in the area have an unnatural water level, which negatively affects the species associated with these types of habitats. The project aims to look at the possibility of restoring natural hydrology by, for example, closing any drains and the like, combined with continuous grazing. The project runs until September 2020 and COWI A/S is the consultant on the project.
