Viborg Municipality has started a project that will lead to a Landscape Strategy for the Nørreå river valley. The work is expected to be part of a research project on Regional Landscape Strategies at the University of Copenhagen and is part of a complementary project in LIFE IP Natureman. In the spring of 2019, the University of Copenhagen conducted an interview survey of 114 farmers in the uplands. In September, Viborg Municipality held two identical meetings for those who were interviewed. Jørgen Primdahl from the University of Copenhagen presented the results of the interviews. The results show that overall there is a great interest in contributing to a landscape strategy for the Nørreå river valley. In particular, there is interest in various opportunities for initiatives in the Nørreå river valley, such as biomass harvesting, grazing, nature conservation, land consolidation, etc.
A report on the results is published in November.
